Burghausen an der Salzach

A post card from Bavaria, Germany. The town Burghausen is inhabited by 10.000 people and is near Austria. On the picture you see the local castle. The walls, pinnacles and towers seem to extend forever over the narrow spit of land here at Europe's longest castle (1,043 m). From atop the fortress you get a view of the old town with its magnificent rows of houses and alleyways reminiscent of southern Europe.
